ageing:
During the course of our lives our
skin is subject to photo ageing, which is caused by exposure
to the sun. The aging of the skin becomes visible through
different benign changes in the skin tissue. Such changes
rarely occur singly, but rather in different combination:
changes in pigmentation, enlargement of the skin pores, flabby
skin, wrinkles and skin folds, enlargement of small veins, sun
spots, age
spots etc.. The IPL laser also treats other skin imperfections
such as birth marks or unwanted hair.
IPL:
Internsive Pulsed Light - also called Cool Touch Laser
treatment: In contrast to specific focused
laser treatments, the IPL procedure is based on the
simultaneous effect of different light wave lengths, within
the range of 500 to 1200 Nm, which are brought into the skin
layers. The different light lengths have different effects on
different impurities in the skin layers. At the same time
the IPL stimulates the natural skin production of collagen.
Thus, on one hand, within the same procedure it is possible to
obtain the treatment of different skin problems, and, on the
other hand, also to obtain the effect of skin rejuvenation. In
the course of 1-5
treatments [ the number depend on the intensity of the single
treatments. The treatment can be repeated after two weeks ] the collagen
producing layer of the skin is increasingly stimulated. A
higher concentration of natural collagen in the skin
represents the most important factor for a more youthful, firm
skin. After the stimulating effect of the IPL treatment, in
the course of the coming months the facial skin is revitalized
at a deep level. The final rejuvenating effect of the IPL
treatment becomes visible 4-6 months after the treatment. The
skin receives a smooth fresh color and is more flexible. The
skin texture improves, and the pores and fine wrinkles refine
or disappear completely. However, the IPL is not indicated for
the treatment of deep
folds.
The
procedure: First,
it is important to speak to a specialized doctor in laser
dermatology, in order to be examined and advised by a
qualified dermatologist. The dermatologist analyzes the
condition of the individual’s skin structure, the degree of
skin aging, and any existing skin irregularities. The
dermatologist will take in consideration the findings, your
age and the desired result, and will then recommend the most
suitable method for you. If you decide to undergo the
treatment, it can usually be done on the same day. During the
IPL treatment the eyes are protected with dark sunglasses.
Before the treatment a smooth gel is applied on the skin,
which allows the laser hand piece to glide smoothly over the
skin surface. A complete facial treatment lasts about 30
minutes and is painless. The IPL treatment can be applied on
all areas of the face, neck, and decolleté, as well as on the
back of the hands. Generally, the IPL treatment is performed
as day surgery, without any hospital stay.
Why several treatments are necessary?
The IPL procedure is a particularly gentle and careful form of
dermatological treatment. Final results are determined from
the sum of the individual treatments. After each treatment you
can leave the hospital immediately. Thanks to the non-invasive
procedure you are, regardless of your age, immediately ready
to return to your social life and to your regular activities.
The number of recommended treatments depends on the individual
wishes and requirements. According to our in-house experience
already with one single session can be achieved astonishing
improvements with skin refinement and permanent correction of
impurities. With repeated sessions can be achieved dramatic
skin rejuvenation results leading to a youthful look. The risk of complications with the IPL
treatment is extremely low.
